ProNova Solutions, a member/division of the Provision Health Alliance, has reached a deal to build a new facility at the long empty Pellissippi Place urban residential, retail, business park in Blount County. In hopes that within five years the company will build two facilities on 26 acres and hire 500 employees, the owners of Pellissippi Place are providing the land for free. The owners of Pellissippi Place include local government entities, cities of Alcoa, Maryville, counties of Blount and Knox. Local governments are waiving property taxes for eight years, with "full property tax rate only after twelve years".

ProNova Solutions appears to have been started by a group of people who previously started up/worked for CTI Molecular Imaging, now a division of Siemens, "a global powerhouse in electronics and electrical engineering." Terry Douglass, a founder and the first president/CEO of CTI, is "is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of ProNova.

The company is working to get their new proton therapy equipment approved by the FDA for sales and distribution in the U.S.
