I gave my stock to my wifeSubmitted by mello on Wed, 10/24/2007 - 06:11.
Does this answer anything?
Does McDonald's have stricter rules for playing their version of Monopoly than we have in Blount County government?

I feel so much better. Now I know that in Budget Meetings he's really looking out for the county's general fund and not just trying to increase the value of her stock.
Just kidding.
P.S. There's an interesting poll at the Daily Times site today: "Has Mike Lewis satisfied a conflict of interest by transferring stock to his wife?" Currently, it is running at about 90% for NOT satisfying, with 44 respondents...(Link...) But we all know how these polls can take a mysterious change in direction later in the day.
That's crap. Pure and simple.
Nice try. It's not Mr. Lewis' money I'm concerned with. I care about my tax dollars.
Why doesn't he give the $37 million to a different bank - not affiliated with GreenBank?
This one is from Blount Today [http://www.blounttoday.com/polls/2007/oct/commission_poll/] and asks: "Do Blount County Commissioners have conflicts of interest that prevent them from being objective in their commission service?"
