Groundbreaking has started. Concrete is soon to be poured. Now is the time to really get involved with all the things going on with Smoky Mountain Animal Care Foundation and the New Blount County Animal Shelter.

Our next meeting is Saturday, January 12, 2008, at the Blount County Library. 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Come see shelter plans. Hear what we are doing to see that the animals in Blount County have a chance at life. That they do not starve on our streets, or be hit by cars, or shot or poisoned by people who are tired of dogs running loose.

Let us know if you are interested in the Memorial bricks which will pave a garden walk at the shelter, and I will see if I can have one of them brought to the meeting.

Come and make plans to dance the night away in the Gala Fundraiser, the first annual "Fur Ball" at the Royal Oaks Country Club. Dance for the Animals!

Come see us at the next meeting!! Bring your friends! Everyone who is interested in helping or learning about the new shelter is welcome to our meetings.

How much?

How much does a brick cost, Terry? Or what is the range, anyway?

What is the date of the Fur Ball?

The Young Williams Animal Center in Knoxville has the brick walk going in the front door. It's is very nice. I spent a long time reading the memorials.

The dance is on Februray 23, 2008. I'm trying to get more information. They just gave some information at the groundbreaking. That's supposed to be one of things discussed at the meeting Saturday.
