New info related to water quality...

I have ran across a resolution that was passed in 2004 that has some of the same verbage as the resolution that is to be considered on tomorrow night's commission agenda, review it if you have a opportunity and give some feed back.

Does this new ordinance

Does this new ordinance replace the old one? Shouldn't that be on the agenda or something?

Replace...?

Does this new ordinance replace the old one? Shouldn't that be on the agenda or something?

Not to my knowledge, the old resolution has not been mentioned during the whole discussion.

Why?

What would the reason be for re-inventing the wheel? If the codes on the books meet Federal requirements, what's the need for change? If twenty five is not enough, evaluate a change there. But to go from a suggested 60ft to 5ft when the existing codes call for 25ft just doesn't make sense. Have there been issues with the 25ft buffer?

Am I missing something here?

No more than any of the rest of us. I have been asking the same questions....no one seems to remember that there was something passed in 2004 or what impact it would have on this resolution or that this resolution would have on it.

You all had to pass this so you could go on the next month ( Jan 2005 ) and pass the resolution establishing and setting fees for obtaining grading permits.
