Citizens must speak up. Let Duncan know we are ready to replace him if he fails to do his job. Duncan's inaction aids and abets the criminals in the Bush / Cheney administration.
There are so many problems with this administration it is hard to know where to begin. I will describe them top down, however the actions to effect a cure might be most effectively implemented in the opposite order.
Congressional Actions to repair the damage done to our nation by the administration include but are not limited to:
Congress must declare that the Mission is Accomplished. Saddam Hussein has been removed, further funding is only for bringing troops home in an orderly fashion. The WAR is OVER. Impeach any president who conducts or continues an unauthorized war.
Declare to the world that the US will not maintain permanent military bases in Iraq. (This removes one of the insurgencies strongest recruiting causes.)
Inform the Iraqi people they are responsible for getting along with one another and our solders will not settle their sectarian differences. Our solders will therefor be leaving soon.
Here at home.
Congress much bring into check the office of the vice president. Cheney and his subordinates have lied to the nation to lead us into war. A war which profits Haliburton from whom Cheney is still receiving pay and in whom Cheney still owns stock. Impeachment and then imprisonment is the appropriate solution. All the members of the Bush / Cheney administration whom participated in spreading the uranium lie which Ambassador Wilson exposed and all members of the administration who then participated in the smear and retaliation against Ambassador Wilson must be impeached and imprisoned.
The office of the Attorney General must be freed of the criminal manipulation of Gonzolas. Impeachment is once again the solution.
Impeachment is the only solution to punish these criminals because impeachment is the only solution that will stick. Even the president can not commute or pardon persons convicted by the senate after impeachment by the house. The Libby case shows us impeachment is the only recourse left now that this president has interfered with the rule of law to protect those who protect him. (Yes I know he has not yet pardoned Libby.)
In part our constitution says:
"The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."
and regarding the President our constitution says:
"....and he shall have the power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment."
What can you do? First, call or FAX Duncan's office at the phone numbers below.
Second, do not be silent. Speak up. Blog here at Blountveiws and write to The Daily Times.

HR333 Impeachment Resolution Gaining Sponsors.
HR333 the resolution to impeachment Dick Cheney is gaining sponsors!
There has been a growing number of representatives signing on as cosponsors for HR333 the resolution impeaching Dick Cheney.
Congressman Steve Cohen from West Tennessee (link...) signed on as the only representative from Tennessee so far.
By failing to support this HR, Jimmy Duncan is missing the real opportunity to walk the walk to end the mismanaged and pointless further involvement in Iraq. Removing Cheney and the rest of the liars who deceived congress and the nation into involvement in this mess is most just and appropriate action.
This will free up resources to deal with the unfinished business of the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Citicens of Tennessee must replace Duncan in 2008 for his failure in 2007.
