So glad that so many showed up with thier big chested and big blog mouthes, all we heard for the last couple of years, they did not show up for this big ooooooooo ahhhhhhhhh no they can't do that they are all developers they are getting paid they are this they are that. well you had your chance to speak about the county plan by the planning commission to go by. and even mr neal wasn't there. Linda King had her meeting and even the nerve to comment on "truth" radio that it was a very important meeting and she wished that she could go but she had her meeting at the library and that it is funny how the planning commission knew that she had her meeting the same day and time as her's is planned a year ago. well Blount County does not revolve around Linda King, maybe the planning commission can make a call to Ms king to see if her calender is free for the next meeting???? Sad sad sad. "what you say" mr neal? Area: Blount County Contact: Blount county library |

Blount lives:
Yes, it was an important meeting. However, there are other important meetings and, of course, some people have jobs too. Linda King's group meets generally the same time each month . . . I do not know who you are, but there are so many pressing issues in Blount County, it is difficult to keep up with all of them:
I am an attorney as most people know and I'm involved in six separate lawsuits involving alleged improprieties by the Mayor, the Sheriff, Circuit Judge W. Dale Young, the BZA, the South Blount County Utilities Board, and disputes with rulings of the Chancery Court judge (Forgety is one man I happen to respect). Also, there are significant issues involving the Blount County local rules (being addressed in public by Judge Mike Meares), the editor of the Daily Times suppressing stories relevant to the community, and perpetuation of zoning attacks on a local resident involving Maple Lane Farms.
Also, there have been FBI investigations and Court of the Judiciary investigations as well.
I find it incredible that you would chastise Mr. Neal for not appearing at one function when there are so many problems and issues in Blount County. I do not speak for Mr. Neal, but in my view he does yeoman's work in maintaining this blog so that persons like you and I can have our say.
While you have the right to voice your views, "blount lives", I do as well, and for one think your post was a mean spirited attempt to demean persons who have devoted their time, energy and effort to making Blount County government more accountable, to making Blount County government more transparent, and to bringing important issues to many who might not see a side of the coin previously unpublicized in Blount County.
I anticipate that you will attack me as well, "blount lives," but that facts indicate that Blount doesn't live very well right now. In fact, the government is a regional disgrace. What say you?
And, please, say it intelligently. Mean spirited diatribes are not conducive to discussion of issues. BTW, there is a county commission meeting tonight at 7. Are you going to attend? If so, give us your full report, blount lives.
