Mike Ross owns a LOT of land in Blount County. This is the subdivision you see up in the mountains beyond Jellico between here and KY along I-75:

Federal authorities have cited a prominent East Tennessee developer for illegally strip-mining coal at a gated, luxury golf resort touted as an "eco-friendly community" under construction in Campbell County.

Hah. I was just getting

Hah. I was just getting ready to post about this when I saw yours. Isn't he involved in the Alcoa/Blount/Knox technology/business/office/retail/condo development over on Old Knoxville Highway?

Mike Ross

Oh yes.

And a lakefront development out of land taken from people by imminent domain for the creation of Tellico Lake in Friendsville, if I'm not mistaken.

Ross was cited for illegally allowing sediment runoff from Rarity Bay into the lake at Vonore, too. He's a fat cat contributor to Republicans, especially in Blount. He's big buds with the sheriff. That should tell you all you need to know about his integrity.

Take a look at his Rarity Properties "corporate headquarters" on William Blount Drive. Yeah, TVA property has been very, very good to Mr. Ross. It's a shame that property wasn't "good" to those who actually owned it.
